How do I work?
I combine verbal therapy with an experiential and bodily approach. Topics can be explored actively, moving, doing somatic or creative exercises and reflecting from the body or with visualization exercises. I mainly use elements of Schema Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, art therapy and other somatic disciplines.
In the sessions we can address different objectives, improve the contact with your own body and emotions, discover and understand chronic limiting patterns, integrate traumatic experiences, work on self-esteem and assertiveness; improve emotional regulation…
- If you are living repetitive patterns throughout your life and you do not know how to get out of them, recurring depressive or anxiety episodes, low self-esteem, aspects of the personality that are harmful to you…
- if you have lived difficult experiences (abuse, abandonment, neglect) and you find yourself overwhelmed by emotions, or on the contrary frozen, unable to feel;
- If you need to get more in contact with your body or the rational and verbal approach is not enough;
you can try this interdisciplinary approach.

I am totally focused in my clinic work:
For 5 years I work as a Registered Movement (DMT) therapist and Auxiliar Schema Therapist in i-psy Intercultural Psychiatry. This is an outpatient mental heath center in Amsterdam part of Parnassia Groep. We accompany clients suffering from depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, chronic pain, conversion, acculturation and migration related problems.
Our clients come from various countries and cultures: Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, Portugal, Brazil, Peru, Turkey, Morocco, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, among others. The intercultural aspect is essential in the adaptation of the treatments.
I support the work of psychologists, psychotherapists, system therapists, schema therapists, psychiatrists and art therapists, from a non verbal and body oriented perspective. The treatments I offer are broad and various and I always underline the collaborative aspect of therapy: you and me design the treatment together, you decide what works best for you.
Learn to integrate traumatic experiences (sexual, physical or psychological trauma), recover a healthy connection with the body.
Helps treating pervasive, long‐term psychological difficulties, personality disorders, chronic issues. Identify your core emotional needs and find functional ways of having your needs met.
Address your stress, burn out symptoms or panic attacks learning relaxation techniques, mindfulness, breathing and self care.
Learn to deal with uncontrolled anger outburst, or just the contrary, get more in contact with your emotions and feelings.
Improve self image, confidence in yourself and distorted body image. Work on your assertiveness and learn to set boundaries.
Recognize body signals, foster body awareness, learn to cope with medically unexplained symptoms…
In my therapy sessions I use different disciplines but my preference is to work with schema therapy, using imagery and ¨parts¨ work (your vulnerable child, your critical part, your avoidance or overcompensating part …)
For example, we can explore which unhealthy patterns you have now and how they hinder your life, research together what core emotional needs our inner child has not yet fulfilled, if necessary, rewrite traumatic events in order to integrate them…
